I got my tattoo to celebrate getting funding to do a PHD in Celtic archeology. A very classic story of 1992. I got it in Chesterfield outside of Sheffield, the town with the bending church spire and it really hurt. Afterwards trying to wear my paraboots. At the time it didn't hurt, but afterwards.
